POSITION SUMMARY:
Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters (CME) represents manufacturers from across the country to help their businesses grow. Managed by CME, Ontario Made is a free branding program for manufacturers and retailers alike to promote the many world-class goods that are made across Ontario. The program aims to help businesses and consumers identify Ontario Made products, celebrate what is Ontario Made, and support the purchase of locally made products.
We are looking for a Communications Coordinator with fresh ideas that can produce quality content such as social media posts, email campaigns, and website copy to help generate positive awareness of Ontario Made.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLIITIES
- Update Ontario Made’s website with content (including landing pages and blog posts) and assist users with their website profiles
- Take the helm of our social media presence, crafting impactful copy and eye-catching graphics
- Develop engaging email campaigns, monthly newsletters, and external communications
- Support the development and delivery of various marketing projects and campaigns to drive brand awareness, including researching advertising channels
- Create visually appealing collateral, such as social media posts, infographics, and promotional materials
- Contribute to the enhancement of Ontario Made’s reputation with manufacturers, retailers, and consumers
- Other duties as required
COMPETENCIES AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Entry-level
- College degree or diploma in Communications or related discipline;
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- A keen eye for design, with proficiency in Canva and/or the Adobe Suite (Photoshop and InDesign) to create visually captivating content
- Experience with an email management platform (such as MailChimp or Campaign Monitor) is considered an asset
- Ability to plan and organize multiple priorities simultaneously and work independently with minimal supervision
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
