Role and Responsibilities
General Laborers work in the Production Plant and Warehouse assisting with various daily required tasks as directed. Laborers will be responsible for but not limited to the following tasks;
· Observe and follow all safety policies and procedures, including the use of PPE
· Clean and maintain various work areas
· Palletize, Bag, Count, pack, or label product
· Load/Unload pallets and or product
· Shovel grain spills
· Assist Sanitation as required
· Follow the direction of the supervisor and/or Main operators
· Assist Operators as needed
· Ability to Lift 50lbs
Preferred Skills
· Mechanically inclined
· Safety experience
· Basic Computer skills
· Experience with agriculture and farm equipment and mechanical aptitude is strongly preferred
· Excellent communication skills
· Ability to follow direction
Education and Qualifications
· High School Diploma
· Fork Lift Ticket (optional)]
· Confined Spaces (optional)
Working Conditions
· Climbing stairs and ladders.
· Standing for long periods at a time.
· Manual dexterity and use of cleaning equipment.
· Lifting 50 pounds.
· Adverse conditions (i.e. extreme cold and heat, extreme wet, within closed surroundings)
This is a physical job that includes both indoor and outdoor work in all types of weather and temperature environments. This job may include working at heights and in confined spaces. It may be noisy and dusty at times.
