Responsibilities
- Assist with meal preparation and food service operations, ensuring timely delivery of nutritious meals to residents or patients
- Follow food safety and sanitation protocols to maintain a clean and safe kitchen environment
- Serve meals with courtesy and professionalism, attending to residents’ or patients’ needs
- Support food handling procedures, including proper storage, portioning, and labeling of ingredients
- Help with cleaning duties in the kitchen and dining areas to uphold sanitation standards
- Manage time effectively to ensure all meal services are completed efficiently and on schedule
- Collaborate with kitchen staff and caregivers to ensure dietary requirements are met accurately
- Hours are typically 3:30 to 7:00 p.m. Our operation for food services is seven days a week.
Experience
- Previous experience in assisted living facilities, nursing homes, hospitals, or the food industry is preferred but not required; training will be provided
- Familiarity with food preparation, cooking, or food service roles is advantageous
- Strong customer service skills with a positive attitude toward residents or patients
- Knowledge of food handling safety standards and sanitation practices
- Ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Experience in cleaning and maintaining hygiene standards in kitchen settings is a plus
