Project Manager
Livingston Steel Inc. is a steel fabrication company which also provides service and installation of steel and custom fabrication. Livingston Steel Inc. is looking to fill the position of Project Manager
The successful candidate will be working in cooperation with the general manager, estimator, detailers and project management staff.
Position: Project Manager
Job description and duties:
- Manage projects from the post-award stage through fabrication, detailing, delivery, and field installation
- Ensure all structural designs and fabrications meet engineering standards, building codes, and job-site safety protocols
- Coordinate engineering shop drawings, shop fabrication, and on-site construction to meet deadlines, revised shop drawings as required using AutoCad and Bluebeam
- Track all financial data, compile quantity take-offs, process invoices, and manage contract change orders.
- Attend site meetings as required.
- Purchase materials and supplies for projects as required.
- Maintain service and good quality relationships with clients.
- Perform material takeoffs, pricing, estimates, and follow up of sales and service as required to support estimating staff.
- Work closely with management and consult on a regular basis on all projects.
- Maintain work log of estimates and job recovery analysis.
Qualification requirements:
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Construction Management, or an equivalent technical diploma.
- Construction experience with focus on structural steel and metal fabrications considered an asset.
- Experience using MS Office, MS Projects and MS Excel
- Must have strong written and oral communication skills.
- Experience with CAD software, specifically AutoCAD or AutoCAD LT.
- Ability to travel to job sites for measurements/inspection (Class 5 drivers license)
