Job Description Astro Dental Art, a leading full-service dental laboratory in Calgary since 2007, is seeking a highly motivated and fully licensed Denturist to join our professional team. This unique role offers an innovative blend of chairside clinical work at partner clinics and laboratory fabrication at our state-of-the-art facility, ensuring a seamless and quality-controlled patient experience. .Key Responsibilities
- Mobile Clinical Care: Travel to various partner dental clinics within the Calgary area to provide direct patient services.
- Patient Assessment & Treatment: Conduct thorough patient assessments, develop comprehensive treatment plans, and take precise impressions and measurements.
- Denture Fabrication: Perform all aspects of denture design and construction at our laboratory located at 7325 12 St SE, Calgary.
- Fitting & Adjustments: Insert, fit, adjust, reline, and rebase full, partial, and implant-supported dentures to ensure optimal comfort and function.
- Collaboration: Work effectively with our lab team and clinic staff, referring patients to dentists or oral surgeons for procedures outside the denturist's scope of practice.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate patient records and manage necessary administrative tasks, including insurance claims.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Licensure: Must hold a valid and current Denturist practice permit, licensed and registered in good standing with the College of Alberta Denturists.
- Experience: Proven experience in both clinical and laboratory settings is highly preferred. Experience with digital denture workflows is a strong asset.
- Mobility: A valid Canadian driver's license, access to a reliable vehicle, and the willingness to travel regularly to various clinic locations are mandatory.
- Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills with a patient-focused approach. Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Professionalism: Evidence of Professional Liability Insurance and current CPR certification is required upon hire.
