Duties & Responsibilities:
- Manage a team of assemblers, a painter and potential welders.
- Drive the forklift as the afternoon Material Handler. Ensure all employees are supplied with the materials they need for their shift, and replenish the racking as required.
- Planning and establishing work schedules, job assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals.
- Supervise assigned plant personnel, reporting absences, tardiness and any other employee issues as they occur.
- Responsible for hourly workforce adherence to EHS standards, policies, and practices.
- Establish and maintain a work environment and workforce culture that encourages and recognizes active employee participation and ownership.
- Ensure positive employee morale.
- Monitor and manage overall team behaviour and deliver coaching and/or discipline within standard guidelines.
- Orchestrate daily assignments to assure timely completion to meet production schedules.
- Manage, instruct, and monitor assemblers, robotic welders and mig welders.
- Ensure that white samples and subassembly control paperwork is in present at all work areas each day.
- Ensure excellent productivity rates and maintain product quality standards while adhering to safety guidelines.
- Ensure that all employees wear the necessary safety clothing and equipment for their jobs.
- Inspect materials, products, or equipment to detect defects or malfunctions.
- Run the shop to ensure production numbers are met or exceeded while assuring all safety standards are met.
- Set up machines and raw materials for each product according to specifications.
- Help make the workplace and process improvements and recognize the contributions of others.
- Performs other miscellaneous job duties and related functions as needed.
Pay: $23.00-$25.00 per hour
