Business Registration Center Inc. is seeking a motivated Administrative Officer & Registry Associate to pioneer our new presence in Halifax, Nova Scotia. This is your chance to build something meaningful from the ground up and grow into regional management.

The Role
This position combines address service operations, customer service support, and office management. As the face of Business Registration Center in Nova Scotia, this solo role offers tremendous growth potential into regional management.
What You'll DoInitial Phase
You'll complete a comprehensive onboarding program including a mandatory 4-8 weeks PAID training period at our Edmonton, Alberta office (all travel, accommodation, and meal expenses fully covered). During this phase, you'll learn our systems and processes and begin managing address service operations.
Ongoing Responsibilities
Customer Service & Support (Primary Focus)
- Respond professionally to customer inquiries via phone and email
- Provide overflow support to our Edmonton customer service team
- Assist address service subscribers with mail-related questions
- Deliver timely and professional communication to all clients
- Maintain excellent customer satisfaction and reviews
- Outbound sales calls to existing customers
Address Service Operations
- Receive and process mail for address service subscribers at our Halifax location
- Scan and digitally deliver mail to customers within 24 business hours
- Manage customer mail forwarding requests via email
- Communicate proactively with subscribers about received mail
- Maintain accurate records and provide daily activity reports
Government Filing Submission
- Submit filings in person to the government registry
- Fulfill name search orders.
Office Management
- Maintain a professional and welcoming office environment
- Coordinate with contractors and building management as needed
- Manage office supplies, equipment, and operational readiness
- Ensure the office represents Business Registration Center's commitment to excellence
Walk-In Customer Service
- Welcome occasional visitors during business hours
- Provide information about our services
- Support customers seeking to verify our legitimacy and local presence
Office Setup Support
- Assemble furniture and organize workspace efficiently
- Set up office equipment including computers, printers, and scanners
- Coordinate access for contractor installations
- Create a professional environment that reflects our brand
What We're Looking For:
Required Qualifications
- Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 1 year of customer service experience
- Strong English communication skills (written and verbal)
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
- Legally authorized to work in Canada
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Professional demeanor and excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Post-secondary education in business, administration, or related field
- Experience in administrative, office management, or mail services
- Knowledge of Canadian business structures and incorporations
- Basic troubleshooting skills for office equipment
- Experience with CRM systems or order management software
- French language skills are an asset
- Local market knowledge and community connections
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
- Ability to bend, kneel, and reach for setup tasks
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods
- Visual acuity for document scanning and reading
What We Offer
Compensation & Benefits
- Hourly Wage: $22 - $25 (Based on education and experience)
- Full Time (40 hours weekly)
- Part Time (Upon discussion)
- Work schedule: Monday-Friday, Business Hours TBD
