The Project Manager reports to the Director, Project Delivery and is a key part of the Project Delivery Division that is responsible for the delivery of the Engineering Capital Program, including water, sewer, drainage utilities, district energy, and transportation improvements, as well as supporting regional projects taking place in Surrey.
As a Project Manager specializing in supporting regional and strategic projects, your role will include acting as the liaison with various levels of government (MoTT, TransLink, Metro Vancouver) and utility companies such as BC Hydro, Railways, FortisBC, and Telecomm companies to advance strategic projects taking place in the City. As well, the role will be responsible for executing complex construction and infrastructure projects. You will be responsible for managing the entire project lifecycle, from initial planning and design to procurement, construction, and successful project completion. Your experience working with various levels of government and third party utility agencies and in-depth knowledge of the construction industry and management of capital projects combined with your exceptional organizational skills, leadership abilities, and strategic mindset will be key in delivering projects on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
