Who we are looking for
One of two people.
You have run a brokerage before, as a principal or an owner, and you know exactly what it takes to run one well. Maybe you are winding down, maybe you already sold, maybe you are simply tired of watching the independents get bought up one by one. You still have the fire to build, and this time you want it to be yours.
Or you have never owned a brokerage, but you have everything it takes to run one. You hold the licence, you have the carrier appointments or the relationships to get them quickly, and you have been waiting for the right partner and the right idea to finally go out on your own. This is that idea.
Either way, you bring the licence, the carrier relationships, and the judgment that only comes from years in this business. We bring the technology, the customers the rest of the industry cannot reach, and a genuine ownership stake in what we build together.
What you will do
As our Principal Broker you will own the regulated heart of the company. You will hold the firm's registration, supervise our licensed brokers, and keep us fully compliant with the Registered Insurance Brokers Act and RIBO's rules. You will put your carrier appointments to work and lead the push to win more, with particular focus on the small commercial markets that serve the self-employed, alongside everyday personal lines. You will bring real underwriting judgment to how we assess and place risk, because a clean and profitable book is the foundation of everything we plan to build next. And you will have a seat at the table on every decision that matters, as a partner and an owner rather than a hire.
What you bring
You hold a Level 3 licence and can act as a Principal Broker, principals licensed in other provinces who can qualify by equivalency are very welcome to apply.
You have carrier appointments in hand, or the relationships to secure them quickly, across personal lines and ideally small commercial.
You have real experience operating or managing a brokerage in Ontario.
You are ready to make this your primary work. RIBO requires a Principal Broker's role to be their sole occupation, so this is a full commitment and a true partnership, which is exactly what we are looking for.
