The insurance industry hasn't had a real challenger in a generation. The incumbents are built for a customer who's disappearing, and they can't reach the one taking their place a generation that buys everything online, expects to see it all in one place, and has no patience for how insurance has always been sold. Nobody serves these people well. That's the gap. We're building the brokerage to walk straight through it.
CavaIt is a digital brokerage for both personal and commercial lines, built to become something far larger as it grows. The people who build it from the start own a piece of what it becomes.
Who you are
You hold a RIBO Level 3 licence and can act as Principal Broker. You have carrier appointments in hand, or the relationships to win them fast. You've operated or managed a brokerage in Ontario, and you know exactly what it takes to run one clean and profitable.
Maybe you owned a shop and sold it. Maybe you've held the licence for years and have been waiting for the right partner and the right idea to finally go out on your own. Either way, you're done building books of business that someone else profits from. This time you want one with your name on it.

What you'll own
You run the regulated heart of the company. You hold the firm's registration, supervise our licensed brokers, and keep us fully compliant with the Registered Insurance Brokers Act and RIBO's rules. You put your carrier appointments to work and lead the push to win more with particular focus on the small commercial markets that serve the self-employed, alongside everyday personal lines. You bring the underwriting judgment that keeps the book clean, because a profitable book is the foundation for everything we build next. And you sit at the table on every decision that matters, as a partner and an owner not a hire.
We bring the technology, the customers the rest of the industry can't reach, and a genuine ownership stake. You bring the licence, the carrier relationships, and the judgment that only comes from years in this business.
The deal
- A meaningful founding equity stake 10-20%, vesting over four years with a one-year cliff, structured to protect both you and us.
- The chance to own and run a modern brokerage without putting up the capital, building the technology, or finding the customers on your own.
One honest note on commitment
RIBO requires the Principal Broker role to be your sole occupation. This is full-time and a true partnership which is exactly what we're looking for. Be honest with yourself about the trade.
