Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly, attentive Server to join our dynamic restaurant team. The ideal candidate will deliver exceptional guest service, ensure food safety standards are met, and create a welcoming atmosphere for all patrons. This role requires strong communication skills, efficiency in food and beverage service, and the ability to manage multiple tables with professionalism. Prior experience in food service or hospitality is preferred, along with familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS. The Server will play a key role in enhancing the overall dining experience and supporting the restaurant’s reputation for excellent customer care.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their dining experience
- Take accurate orders using POS systems, including Micros POS, and relay them efficiently to the kitchen staff
- Serve food and beverages promptly while maintaining presentation standards
- Upsell menu items to enhance guest satisfaction and increase sales opportunities
- Handle cash transactions accurately, including cashiering and cash handling responsibilities
- Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are maintained at all times, adhering to proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Assist with food preparation when needed and support kitchen staff during busy periods
- Manage guest inquiries or complaints professionally to ensure a positive experience
- Maintain cleanliness of tables, dining areas, and service stations in compliance with sanitation regulations
- Support team members during shifts to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
Qualifications
- 1+ years of serving experience REQUIRED
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Micros POS or similar platforms
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tables efficiently during busy hours
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and professional demeanor
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation practices, and proper food handling procedures
- Basic math skills for accurate bill calculation and cash handling
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
- Good communication skills to interact clearly with guests and team members
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, or holidays as required by the restaurant schedule
