Al-Qaim International School (AQIS) is an accredited independent school offering Alberta Programs of Study from ECS/Kindergarten to Grade 12. We are currently seeking Certified Teachers for both elementary and high school levels.

Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Education degree with a focus on Math/Science
- Alberta teaching certificate or eligibility to obtain one
- Understanding of Alberta Teacher Qualification Standards (TQS)
- Commitment to a flexible teaching schedule
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills (English)
- Classroom management skills focused on student motivation
- Willingness to work with diverse learners and adapt to their needs
- Willingness to collaborate and participate in professional development
- Creative and entrepreneurial mindset
- Data-driven with a focus on student success
- Ability to integrate technology to enhance student learning
- Current Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Search
- Standard First Aid and child CPR certification is an asset
- Experience working with English Language Learners (ELL) is an asset
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans in Mathematics and Science that cater to diverse learning styles.
- Assess and evaluate student progress, providing constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and collaboration.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and performance, ensuring compliance with educational standards.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
- Stay updated on educational best practices and participate in professional development opportunities.
