Salary: $80, 418- $100,523 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Status: Permanent Full-Time

As a key member of the financial services team, the Senior Business Analyst performs a broad scope of professional accounting activities requiring experience, professional knowledge, and application of accounting principles and practices. The scope of the role includes effective financial planning, performance measurement, and analysis of activities, revenues, and costs. The role works closely with senior management, and Directors; preparing and analyzing monthly/quarterly packages to facilitate decision making and financial/activity reporting.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Supervise the analytical staff in Accounts Payables providing guidance and support in their daily tasks.
Support core financial processes (annual budget, quarterly forecasts, monthly reporting) to build a solid and compelling financial plan that meets the expectations of Accounts Payable
Lead month-end process through the review/preparation of journal entries, reporting of key statistics, and oversight of monthly analysis.
Provide support to manager by regularly meeting with clients to resolve issues while identifying risks and opportunities
Lead for departmental audits, provincial consolidation, input tax and special projects.
Account Payable committee lead
Liaise with clients external and internal as needed. Provide education when necessary.
Development/ maintenance of standards and operational procedures and controls
Providing sound and timely information to facilitate optimal decision making
Performing cross-functional and/or other duties consistent with the job classification, as assigned or requested

QUALIFICATIONS:
Professional accounting designation (CPA) or business degree with relevant experience
University degree in Business Administration or equivalent program
Three to Five years related experience in an accounting environment with exposure to analyze and interpret complex financial/business data
Experience in a healthcare environment, preferred
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Excellent organizational, time management and interpersonal skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to take initiative and embrace challenges
Ability to work accurately under stressful condition and to meet tight deadlines
Experience in business case analysis, able to translate operation situation into financial forms
Adheres to confidentiality policy for sensitive financial and clinical data and information
VAT and withholding tax knowledge an asset
Proficient in Microsoft Office, extensive knowledge of Access and Excel, experience with SAP an asset
Vaccines (COVID-19 and others) are a requirement of the job unless you have an exemption on a medical ground pursuant to the Ontario Human Rights Code.
