Job Summary
Under the general supervision of the Director of Care and the clinical direction of the Registered Nurse and in collaboration with other members of the health care team,
Provides nursing care to residents in the extended care setting, ensuring Resident and Family Centred Care.
knowledgeable of and adheres to the standards of practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
Holds others and self accountable.
Values working in a Christian faith based organization.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Graduation from an approved Practical Nurse Program
- Current registration with the British Columbia College Under the general supervision of the Director of Care and the clinical direction of the Registered Nurse and in collaboration with other members of the health care team,
- Provides nursing care to residents in the extended care setting, ensuring Resident and Family Centred Care.
- knowledgeable of and adheres to the standards of practice as outlined by the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives (BCCNM).
- Holds others and self accountable.
- Values working in a Christian faith based organization.
- Assesses risks, hazards, and care plans to develop mitigation strategies in collaboration with the RN or leadership.
- Demonstrates emotional intelligence in interactions and decision-making.
- Questions status quo for the purpose of recommending improvements and innovation.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Graduation from an approved Practical Nurse Program
Current registration with the British Columbia College of Nurses &
Midwives. of Nurses &
Midwives.
Competent in all skills outlined in the "Competencies Required of the Beginning Licensed Practical Nurse" from the British Columbia College of Nurses & Midwives.
Must complete education module – Violence Prevention Modules 1-8 under Health Employers Association of BC within 2 weeks of accepting position. Certificate of completion to be submitted to manager of Care/Director of Care.
