Overview
We are seeking dedicated School Support Staff for a variety of cultural, behavioral and learning roles at Cadotte Lake School to assist in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment for students. This role involves working closely with teachers, students, and families to support educational activities and ensure the well-being of all children. Ideal candidates will have a passion for education, strong communication skills, and experience working with children, including those with disabilities. This position offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to students' growth and development in a dynamic school setting.
Duties
- Assist teachers with classroom activities, lesson preparation, and student supervision
- Support students during instructional and recreational periods, fostering engagement and participation
- Provide one-on-one assistance to students with disabilities or special needs to promote inclusion and accessibility
- Help maintain a safe, organized, and welcoming classroom environment
- Support early childhood education initiatives by engaging children in age-appropriate learning activities
- Communicate effectively with students, teachers, and parents to address needs and concerns
- Assist in implementing educational programs that enhance student learning in subjects such as math and literacy
- Support behavioral management strategies to promote positive conduct among students
Experience
- Prior classroom experience or background in teaching is preferred but not required
- Experience working with children across various age groups, especially early childhood education
- Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities or special needs is advantageous
- Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team setting
- Knowledge of basic math concepts relevant to early childhood or elementary education is beneficial
- Demonstrated patience, adaptability, and a genuine interest in supporting student development

Pay: $21.00-$39.80 per hour
