Toronto, ON (12-month contract, with option to extend)

Purpose:
The Human Resources Generalist plays a key role in supporting the full employee lifecycle, with a primary focus on talent acquisition and recruitment delivery.
This role ensures the effective execution of recruitment strategies while providing day-to-day HR support across operations, employee relations, and HR processes. The position also provides backup support to HR leadership to ensure continuity of HR services across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus)
- Manage full-cycle recruitment for technical, engineering, and corporate roles
- Draft, edit, and post job descriptions
- Partner with hiring managers to define hiring needs and priorities
- Conduct resume screening and interviews
- Coordinate interview processes and candidate experience
- Complete reference checks and background screening
- Prepare offer letters and support the offer process
Support employer branding and recruitment initiatives

HR Operations & Employee Lifecycle:
- Serve as a first point of contact for HR inquiries
- Coordinate onboarding, orientation, and offboarding
- Maintain accurate and confidential employee records and HRIS data
- Support employee relations matters and follow-up
- Prepare HR documentation (letters, forms, communications)
Assist with benefits administration and employee programs

Projects & Continuous Improvement:
- Support development of HR policies and best practices
- Assist with HR projects and training initiatives
- Conduct research into employment standards and HR trends
Ensure compliance with legislation and internal processes

Health & Safety:
- Support coordination of training and record maintenance
Participate in safety-related initiatives

Leadership Support & Coverage:
- Provide backup support to the Interim HR Director
- Support performance management and employee engagement initiatives
- Assist in maintaining effective HR programs aligned with business needs
Be an active member and participant of the firm’s: DEI, Wellness and Social Committee

Qualifications & Experience:
- 5 years of progressive HR experience
- Strong full-cycle recruitment experience
- Post-secondary education in Human Resources or related field
- CHRP/CHRL designation (or in progress) considered an asset
- Strong knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practices
Experience with HRIS and Microsoft Office
