Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and enthusiastic HOUSEKEEPING ROOM ATTENDANT to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have passion and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service in a fast-paced environment. This position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Excellent communication and guest service skills
- Reporting of maintenance needs to supervisors/managers
- Transporting dirty linen and garbage to the designated drop areas
- Laundry as needed (primarily blankets, bedspreads, mattress pads, rags, etc.)
- Required to drive golf carts in outside areas for transportation to rooms
- Required to carry, load and fold linen onto carts, shelves, etc.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques an asset
- Must be able to work well with minimal supervision and be a team player
- Must be physically fit and able to lift heavy items (approx. 25lbs)
- Flexibility in scheduling a must
- Must be available to work days, evenings and weekends
Qualifications
- Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas according to established standards
- Change bed linens, replenish supplies, and ensure all surfaces are spotless
- Perform deep cleaning tasks such as carpet cleaning, window washing, and floor polishing as needed
- Maintain cleanliness of hallways, lobbies, and other public spaces
- Report maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly to management
- Follow health and safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment
- Proven experience in cleaning, custodial work, or hospitality environments preferred
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently and thoroughly
- Excellent time management skills to complete tasks within scheduled time frames
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication skills and a positive attitude toward guest service and teamwork
Pay: From $18.25 per hour
