About the Role
As part of the Metro Vancouver team, the Warehouse Worker/Forklift Operator will be working together with other team members to help assist our customers and crews daily. This opportunity will provide the right individual with a chance to be an effective problem solver while constantly reprioritize their tasks daily. Reporting to the Branch Manager & Operations Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for operating a forklift, picking and building orders, loading trucks for deliveries, and reorganizing our yard to company standards.
Some of the responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Ø Building Drywall Loads for Deliveries;
Ø Helping customers with their orders in a timely and professional manner;
Ø Loading and unloading trucks in our yard efficiently;
Ø Picking and packing customer orders;
Ø Verifying picked orders and double-checking accuracy for loading;
Ø Receiving, moving, and reorganizing material within our yard;
Ø Complete pre and post trip inspections and cleaning tasks;
Ø Advise supervisors on shortages and damaged goods;
Ø General housekeeping duties in the warehouse and other tasks assigned.
Our Must Haves
Ø Experience building Drywall loads.
Ø Prior experience within Construction or Building Supplies;
Ø Valid BC Drivers License;
Ø Physically fit and capable to lift and move up to 75 lbs;
Ø Valid Forklift License;
Ø Consent to pass pre-employment drug testing;
Ø Good verbal and written communication.
