Your Opportunity

Stantec is currently seeking a full time Road Construction Administrator based out of our Winnipeg, MB office.

Your Key Responsibilities

Proactively coordinate and monitor field activities involving surveyors, prime contractors, testing and inspection firms and commissioning agents.
Provide input to the development of project schedules, coordinate the work according to the approved schedules.
Report deviations from schedules immediately and provide recommendations on how the schedule can be adjusted if necessary.
Observe and record existing field conditions and verify that as built records are maintained by others.
Communicate effectively with team members and client.
Verify and record time, material, and equipment records on a daily basis in writing based upon observations.
Observe and report deviations from the Contract Documents and Codes. Follow through with all responsible parties until issues are resolved.
Schedule and accompany reviews and inspections with Authorities-Having-Jurisdiction.
Report observed violations immediately.
Participate in Preconstruction meetings.
Implement safety related requirements and foster a safety culture.
Prepare quality check list for quality assurance and control.
Create and maintain current records of cumulative work completed and inspected.
Take photographs and video recordings.
Perform related duties as required.

Also, physical demands include:
Ability to lift and carry 40 pounds.
Work outdoors and in the vicinity of motorized traffic.
Work in confined spaces.
Work shifts and weekends when required.
Work under various weather conditions.
Work under high noise conditions.
Your Capabilities and Credentials

Proficient in critical path scheduling.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications tools and MS Project.
Proficient in reading technical drawings and specifications.
Proficient technical knowledge of roadway design and construction practices.
Working knowledge of Autodesk CAD applications.
Working knowledge of Temporary Traffic Control principles.
CET designation or able to obtain within 6 months of start of employment.
Possess a valid class 5 drivers license.
Education and Experience

Eligible for registration with the Certified Technicians & Technologists Association of Manitoba (CTTAM).
5 years of experience in roadway/transportation construction industry.
