Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Framer/Carpenter to join our Post Frame construction team. The ideal candidate will have experience in framing, carpentry, and related construction activities, with the ability to interpret blueprints and schematics. This role involves working on residential, commercial, and restoration projects, requiring proficiency with hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment operation. The successful applicant will contribute to building durable structures while maintaining safety and quality standards.
Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction plans to execute framing and carpentry tasks accurately
- Construct, install, and repair frameworks for buildings using wood, concrete forms, siding, and other materials
- Operate hand tools, power tools, and heavy equipment safely and efficiently
- Perform concrete finishing and forming as required for various projects
- Assist with restoration projects by repairing or replacing damaged structures
- Handle heavy lifting and material movement to ensure smooth workflow on-site
- Use welding techniques when necessary for structural reinforcement or custom fabrication
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency
Requirements
- Proven experience in construction, carpentry, or related fields with a strong understanding of framing techniques
- Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately
- Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy machinery operation
- Knowledge of concrete forming and finishing processes
- Experience with siding installation and restoration work is a plus
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work at heights or in confined spaces as needed
- Strong attention to detail with a focus on safety standards at all times
- Physical stamina to perform demanding tasks throughout the workday
- Valid construction experience credentials or certifications preferred but not mandatory
