Eaton’s Electrical Sector is currently seeking a Bilingual Product Specialist- Engineer- Panelboard, Switchboards, Automatic Transfer Switches for our Lachine, QC facility.
Position Overview:
The Bilingual Product Specialist- Engineer- Panelboards/ Switchboards and Automatic Transfer Switches (ATS), is to provide support to Eaton product management, sales/support staff, channel partners and customers in pre-sales through post sales capacity. The Bilingual Product Specialist- Engineer, has key individual responsibility for the technical and application support of the assigned product lines. The Bilingual Product Specialist- Engineer is responsible for researching and developing ideas and processes for new products.

In this function you will:
Identify and help team deliver sales opportunities, initiatives, new channels to market and/or market segments
Contribute in digital content creation to support campaigns and increase market reach
Produce quotations for assigned products, while employing value creation strategies to maximize opportunity potential and standard profit margins
Lead continuous improvement activities to improve the deployment of marketing tools and deploy standardized processes
Develop, conduct, and coordinate training for customers, agents, distributors, contractors, and sales staff
Interpret customer plans and specifications to provide quotation/configuration solutions
Obtain voice of the customer activities for translation into product line innovation and value creation
Support day-to- day tactical activities as needed (technical, expedites, planning, warranty)
Lead new product development projects (close coordination with plant operations, central engineering, marketing, and US product groups)
Create & maintain product and/or pricing configuration tools
Monitor competitive products and literature and keep abreast of latest product improvements
Provide product gap analysis and develop corrective actions (product enhancement and improvements) where necessary

Qualifications
Required (Basic) Qualifications:
University degree in electrical or mechanical engineering
Minimum 5 years’ experience in the electrical industry
Bilingual in English / French
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada without company sponsorship now and in the future
No relocation provided
Preferred qualifications:
A Master’s Degree in Business Administration
Minimum 1 year experience using data analytics and digital marketing
Minimum 1 year experience in sales or customer service
Technical Professional Designation (P.Eng., CET, C.Tech.)
