We are looking for a reliable and hardworking Batch Mixer Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will be responsible for accurately preparing and mixing product batches according to established formulas and production schedules. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, physically capable, and committed to maintaining high standards of quality, food safety, and workplace safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately weigh, measure, and prepare ingredients according to batch sheets and production formulas.
- Load raw materials and ingredients into industrial mixing and blending equipment.
- Safely lift and handle ingredient bags weighing up to 25 kg (50 lbs) throughout the shift.
- Operate and monitor mixing equipment to ensure consistency and quality of finished products.
- Verify ingredient quantities and ensure batches are produced according to specifications.
- Complete production records, batch documentation, and inventory tracking accurately.
- Assist with staging ingredients and materials for upcoming production runs.
- Conduct routine quality checks throughout the mixing process.
- Clean, sanitize, and maintain mixing equipment and work areas between batches.
- Follow all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), food safety requirements, and company procedures.
- Report equipment malfunctions, product deviations, or safety concerns to supervisors.
- Work closely with team members to meet daily production goals and schedules.
Qualifications & Skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow formulas and procedures accurately.
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Good organizational and communication skills.
- Mechanical aptitude and manufacturing experience are considered assets.
- Previous experience in food production, batching, mixing, or manufacturing is preferred but not required.
- Commitment to workplace safety, quality, and cleanliness.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to repeatedly lift and move up to 25 kg (50 lbs) throughout the shift.
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in a production environment with frequent material handling.
