Kelly Services is hiring a Medical Secretary professional for one of our clients in Simcoe, Ontario. This temporary 3-month assignment is ideal for someone with previous administrative and customer service experience who enjoys working in a busy office environment and providing excellent support to both clients and staff.
Responsibilities:
- Greet clients and visitors at reception and direct them as needed
- Verify and update client information, including health card details, within the database
- Notify staff when clients arrive for appointments
- Schedule follow-up appointments for designated clinicians
- Answer incoming calls, provide basic information, confirm appointment details, and transfer calls
- Make appointment reminder calls to clients
- Print, copy, scan, and file documents
- Send and receive faxes
- Attach documents and records to the client database
- Pull and file client charts
- Prepare labels and administrative documents
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a medical clinic, physician's office, hospital, specialist practice, or healthcare setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Comfortable answering phones and interacting with clients in a professional manner
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word and Excel
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Reliable, professional, and able to work independently
Additional Information:
- 4-5 days /week (Monday and Friday)
- Work Schedule: 8:30am-4:30pm
