Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Wood Frame Superintendent with a strong background in overseeing the construction of townhome communities and low-rise residential projects in the Lower Mainland. The ideal candidate will manage all aspects of on-site operations from groundbreaking through to project completion, ensuring the work is delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. You will collaborate closely with the Project Manager to develop project schedules, monitor costs, maintain detailed site records, and foster strong relationships with clients, sub-trades, consultants, and team members.

Manage all on site activities; ensure project construction is executed in a safe, timely and efficient manner

Manage site flow of information: RFI’s/ ASI’s/ SSI’s/ ESI’s/ MSI’s/ etc.

Chair and minute bi-weekly, monthly site meetings with consultants and sub trades as necessary

Liaison with all City Officials and create working relationships

Create schedules and assist sub trades to comply and maintain productivity

Competent at reviewing all work drawings and able to identify conflicts and issues in advance

Supervise all sub-trades, suppliers, and workers
- Conduct site safety orientation and weekly safety meetings with sub-trades

Review on-site work to confirm that project is being built as per drawings, specifications, code and ensure that all finishes are to the Company’s and industry standards
- Assemble the job site office and equipment requirements

Monitor and maintain the project construction schedule on a regular basis
- Implement and enforce the requirements of WCB and Beedie’s Health and Safety Program

Review the accuracy of shop drawings, change orders, and RFI’s as required

Investigate and resolve any issues that arise
- Responsible for field documentation such as daily logs, conduct daily safety inspections and other required reports

Order materials and schedules inspections as necessary; include coordinate offsite utilities and review with the applicable authority

Minimum 8-10 years’ experience in residential/commercial construction projects as a superintendent
- Experience as a Superintendent on wood frame building projects

Experience working on projects valued in excess of $100 million

Extensive knowledge of procedures, methods, conditions and documents related to building construction
- Ability to understand the scopes of work project and schedule, as well as interpret drawings, specifications, and contract documents
- Proactive and positive leadership and supervisory skills
- Attentive to detail and accuracy
- Demonstrated history of timely and within-budget construction
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient computer skills and knowledge of MS Office, ProCore and scheduling/tracking software
The annual base pay range for this position will be based on the desired experience level for this role.
