Bookkeeper / Office Administrator
First Island Financial Services is a real estate investment company specializing in construction and development financing. We are currently seeking a permanent Bookkeeper / Office Administrator to join our small team at our newly constructed office in Cordova Bay.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Perform general bookkeeping tasks such as accounts receivable and payable duties, bank reconciliations, invoicing, etc.
· Manage filing systems, scanning documents, mail distribution, coordinating couriers, and ordering office and breakroom supplies, in addition to other miscellaneous administrative tasks.
· Handle general loan administration duties, including processing loan advances, paydowns, and other mortgage-related tasks.
· Provide reception services, including direct communication with clients via email and phone.
· Aid with investment transactions and administration, including document preparation, filings, etc.
· Offer administrative and clerical support to the office team.
· Assist with content creation and management of social media platforms.
REQUIREMENTS:
· Strong attention to detail.
· Exceptional interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills with a personable demeanor.
· Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a small office team.
· Proficiency in computer programs such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and familiarity with bookkeeping software (experience with Sage is an asset).
· Preferred previous experience in financial/investment services, real estate, law/legal work, or bookkeeping.
· A bookkeeping diploma, certificate, or equivalent experience.
DETAILS:
Location: 5122 Cordova Bay Road, The Haro
Hours: Monday to Friday, 4-7 hours / day (reduced / flexible hours for the right candidate)
Starting Salary: $55,000-$70,000, commensurate with experience and working hours
Start Date: As soon as possible
