About the Role
As a licensed Home Child Care Provider, you will operate your child care program from your own approved home while providing high-quality care to children referred through our agency.
Children may have needs including:
- Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD)
- ADHD
- Speech and language delays
- Developmental delays
- Physical disabilities
- Sensory processing differences
- Behavioural and emotional needs
- Medical complexities requiring individualized care
Every child is unique, and our agency provides ongoing guidance, training, and support to help you build successful placements.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, nurturing, and inclusive child care.
- Create engaging, play-based learning experiences.
- Foster children's independence, confidence, and emotional well-being.
- Build positive relationships with families.
- Maintain a clean, safe, licensed home child care environment.
- Participate in agency visits, training, and professional development.
- Collaborate with agency staff and community professionals when needed.
Qualifications
We welcome applicants with experience in child care or supporting children with special needs.
The following are considered assets:
- Registered Early Childhood Educator (RECE)
- Educational Assistant (EA)
- Developmental Services Worker (DSW)
- Child and Youth Worker (CYW)
- Personal Support Worker (PSW)
- Behaviour Therapist/ABA experience
- Nursing or health care background
- Experience working with children with special needs

Licensing Requirements
Successful applicants must meet all agency and provincial licensing requirements, including:
- Vulnerable Sector Screening for all adults living in the home
- Medical assessment
- Standard First Aid & CPR Level C
- Home safety and fire safety requirements
- Completion of agency orientation and training
- Successful completion of the home approval process

Compensation: Competitive daily compensation based on enrollment
