The Learning Hive is seeking a passionate and engaging French Educator to join our growing team in Woodstock, Ontario.
This position combines small group instruction in our daytime Homeschool Enrichment Academy with evening one-to-one tutoring.
Responsibilities
- Teach conversational French to small groups of children ages 4 to 12.
- Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons.
- Adapt instruction to meet individual learning needs.
- Provide individualized French tutoring after school and in the evenings for Grades 1-12
- Foster a positive, encouraging classroom environment.
- Communicate professionally with families and colleagues.
Qualifications
- Strong spoken and written French.
- Experience working with children.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Organized, dependable, and enthusiastic.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with our educational team.
The following are considered assets:
- Teaching certification (OCT or equivalent).
- Early Childhood Education diploma.
- Bachelor's degree in French, Education, or a related field.
- Experience tutoring or teaching French as a second language.
Schedule
- Part-time.
- Daytime Academy hours during the school year.
- Evening tutoring hours available based on student demand.
- Additional opportunities may become available as our programs continue to grow.
