Job description
Hiring Line Cook
We are looking for a professional Line Cook to join our team in a fast-paced ghost kitchen. We are seeking an individual who has experience in the foodservice industry and is committed to excellent food. Must be able to work as a team as well as handle the line alone.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare components of each dish on our extensive menu using our recipes without deviation.
- Memorize and utilize our serving portion sizes and all necessary meal prep procedures used in the kitchen.
- Ensure that the kitchen, all food prep areas and all food storage areas meet restaurant cleaning standards.
- Work with team to do portion prep work for other shifts when needed.
- Monitor product freshness and recognize and rotate out the old product.
- Some customer service: take phone orders from customers and engage with customers for pick-up orders.
- Manage online ordering tablets for UberEats, Doordash, Skip the dishes for correct delivery times and coordinate with drivers.
Requirements:
- 2+ years of cooking and commercial kitchen experience across multiple types of cuisine.
- Ability to work on your feet for eight hours+ per day.
- Ability to work with wearing a face mask correctly for the entirety of your shift.
- Valid food handlers certificate and strict adherence to safety practices.
- Comfortable working with a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent verbal communication and organization skills.
- Must be able to lift at least 40 pounds regularly.
- No dietary restrictions: we require all our cooks to taste each dish ( vegetarian and non-vegetarian)
- High level of professionalism.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: From $17.60 per hour
