In consultation with Operations Manager you will be responsible for developing all key areas of Rock climbing recreational programming; such as preparing lesson plans and the delivery of training of instructors, counsellors and participants in relation to skills and knowledge required for Recreational and Adaptive programs, Camps and other programs as needed.
Responsibilities
- Instruct in a variety of programs, and alternating throughout season/terms
- Act as key liaison for external contacts for questions or concerns about recreational programming, via email correspondence, in person and on the phone with parents, participants, instructors and Guest Services Staff
- Develop policies, procedures and skill expectations in conjunction with Management
- Train instructors and evaluate associated programs
- Program and Participant development such as; consult with Operations Manager regarding skill development for program participants and to deliver a consistent program, support from Management team is inherent in this aspect, ensuring programs are running according to these expectations, act as go-to Supervisor for recreational program instructors
- Set up program fees, place transactions, arrange for credits to support Guest Services with a seamless process
- Supporting role: ensure all social media, website and advertising is properly advertised for programs, specialist in services for guests, memberships, program offerings and deeply knowledgeable on use of all internal software to facilitate services and staffing needs

Responsibilities included for this role are secondary however is an integral part of the role. This includes answering phones, processing transaction and acting as a Front Desk Supervisor.
Qualifications
- Strong communication skills in English, timely response to inquiries
- Experience in teaching or leading recreational programs
- Excellent customer service skills to engage with participants and their families
- Proven time management abilities to effectively plan and execute programs
- Demonstrated leadership skills to supervise staff and volunteers in a recreational setting
- Ideally certified in ACMG or CWA instruction or other climbing related credentials
