General Labourer – Laser Parts Sorting & Processing

The role
After our laser cuts a sheet of metal, someone has to take it from there. That’s this job. You’ll knock out parts from laser-cut sheets, clean them up, and sort them accurately by job number onto skids so production has exactly what it needs, organized and ready to go.
It’s hands-on, physical work. You’ll be on your feet, lifting and handling metal parts throughout the day. The job has a rhythm to it – and the person who does it well takes pride in keeping that rhythm running smoothly. Accuracy matters here. A part in the wrong place or on the wrong skid slows down the whole shop.
No experience required. If you’re reliable, physically capable, and pay attention to detail, we’ll train you on everything else.
What you’ll be doing
Your primary focus will be laser parts processing – this is the core of the job:
- Knock out parts from laser-cut sheet metal
- Grind and clean parts as needed to remove burrs and sharp edges
- Sort and organize parts accurately by job number onto skids
- Always handle parts safely – proper lifting technique and awareness of sharp edges
- Keep your area clean and parts moving efficiently through the process
When laser processing is caught up, you’ll support the broader shop with:
- Product and conveyor chain assembly
- Painting parts
- Material handling throughout the shop
- General cleaning and housekeeping
- Assisting other departments as needed
What you bring
- Physically fit and comfortable with repetitive lifting and bending throughout the day
- Detail-oriented – sorting accurately by job number is critical
- Reliable, on time, and ready to work
- Safety-first mindset – PPE and procedures are non-negotiable
- Able to take direction and work well as part of a team
- Experience in a manufacturing or shop environment is an asset but not required

Position details
- This is an existing vacancy
- This is a full-time, permanent, on-site General Labourer position
- Overtime pay applies after 40 hours per week – 48+ hours is common during busy periods and should be expected
