This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional who enjoys working with people, managing multiple priorities, maintaining accurate records, and driving HR processes improvements. The Human Resources Assistant Manager will provide day-to-day support to employees, managers, and the HR Manager across recruitment, onboarding, benefits, employee documentation, HR reporting, training, employee engagement, and special projects.
The successful candidate will be a dependable team player who is comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and understands the importance of confidentiality, accuracy, and professionalism when dealing with employee matters.
Key Responsibilities
· Coordinate and support employee onboarding and offboarding, including new hire documentation, orientation, system checklists, employee files, exit documentation, and related communications. Also responsible for initiating process improvements in recruitment.
· Assist with employee benefit administration, including enrollments, changes, employee inquiries, documentation, provider coordination, and record updates.
· Support recruitment activities, including job postings, interview coordination, candidate communication, offer documentation, reference checks, and recruitment tracking, and develop processes to improve efficiencies
· Assist with compensation and HR reporting by maintaining spreadsheets, gathering information, preparing reports, and supporting annual review processes.
· Respond to routine employee and management HR inquiries and collaborate with the Human Resources Manager
· Coordinate training sessions, employee communications, employee engagement initiatives, recognition programs, surveys, and HR events.
· HR policy administration and creation as well as maintaining current policies, assisting with communications, and supporting implementation.
· Assist with performance management administration, including review tracking, form distribution, completion monitoring, and documentation.
· Prepare HR reports, presentations, meeting notes, project trackers, correspondence, and other HR documentation.
· Lead in special projects, including HR process improvements, employee engagement initiatives, policy rollouts, HRIS updates, employee file audits, training programs, and reporting improvements.
· Identify opportunities to improve HR processes, efficiency, communication, and the overall employee experience.
· Ensure all HR activities are completed with a high degree of confidentiality, accuracy, professionalism, and attention to detail.
· Support employee relations matters and assist with investigations.
· Assist managers with policy interpretation and employment standards questions.
· Support disability management leaves of absence and return-to-work administration.
· Assist with organizational development and employee engagement initiatives.
· Act on behalf of the HR Manager during periods of absence for designated administrative responsibilities
Pay: $80,000.00-$90,000.00 per year
