Responsibilities:
- Prepare construction sites, materials and tools by setting up as per safety protocols to protect workers and the public.
- Understanding structural layouts by reading and understanding blueprints.
- Sorting, removing and properly disposing of debris including separating materials for recycle and waste
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to prevent accidents and injuries, including proper handling and storage of equipment and wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues to coordinate tasks and resolve any issues that may arise during the demolition/abatement processes.
- Ability to compile accurate work orders and time sheets, Site Docs experience a plus.
- Clearing the site to prepare for the next step in the construction process.
Requirements:
- Ability to safely operate hand and power tools required.
- Ability to effectively communicate with the team and perform all duties in accordance with safety regulations and guidelines.
- Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform & First Aid tickets are considered an asset, but not mandatory.
- Ability to operate equipment is considered an asset
- Ability to read and understand blueprints is considered an asset.
