As a Software Sales Representative, you will be responsible for generating new business opportunities through proactive outreach and cold calling potential clients; a crucial role for driving revenue growth and expanding our market presence.
Finding new sales opportunities, advancing them to the demo stage, and collaborating with your colleagues to develop a strategic plan to secure the win.
Essential Functions:
- Outbound Outreach: Conduct high-volume outbound calls to prospective customers to generate new business opportunities and build a robust sales pipeline.
- Qualification: Qualify leads based on defined criteria to ensure they align with our ideal customer profile and pass them on to the sales executives for further development.
- Scheduling Demos/Triage: Schedule meetings and demos for the sales team with qualified leads, ensuring a smooth handoff and excellent customer experience.
- Relationship Building: Develop and maintain relationships with prospects to nurture long-term opportunities and referrals.
- Sales Tools Utilization: Utilize our CRM to track and manage leads, while maintaining accurate records in our CRM.
- Target Achievement: Meet and exceed monthly and quarterly targets for opportunity creation, demos, and closed/won bookings.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and competitive landscape to continuously refine and improve outbound sales strategies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- 2+ years of SaaS sales experience.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage and persuade clients.
- Strong sales ‘hunter’ mentality.
- Resilience and ability to handle rejection positively
- Strong time management and organizational skills
- Proficiency with CRM software (e.g., Pipedrive, Salesforce, HubSpot)
- Self-motivated with a drive to meet and exceed targets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Prior experience in SaaS sales is preferred
- Private Lending, Mortgages, Financial Services a plus (but not necessary)
- Familiarity with sales engagement tools (e.g., Outreach, SalesLoft)
- Track record of consistently meeting or exceeding sales quotas
Position Status: Permanent
Salary: $75,000 Base / OTE: $150,000
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Work Environment: In-office/Hybrid/Midtown Toronto Office
