The Retail Sales Representative is responsible for all aspects of key account management and sales for their assigned territory, including merchandising, new business development and client relationship management. The SR will achieve corporate targets/results by offering exceptional customer service.

Primary functions

· Responsible for managing assigned accounts and developing new business within assigned territory: Edmonton and Northern Alberta.

· Achieve specific sales targets in the area of new accounts and account quality

· Conduct cold calls to prospective customers on a regular basis, assessing needs and providing solutions to clients

· Hands-on within territory while visiting clients by carrying out merchandising tasks

· Develop and maintain high level client relationships to retail head offices

· Consistently achieve revenue, margin and profit growth targets for designated territory.

· Assist clients in their consumer marketing and sales strategy decisions

· Keep abreast of market competitiveness and profitability of all products and business lines in order to increase their sales

Academic training

· University degree preferred but not essential

Experience, compentencies and aptitudes

· Minimum 3 years sales experience with proven success identifying and acquiring client opportunities

· Able to establish, develop and maintain account relationships

· Demonstrated sales and negotiation skills

· Solid organizational and time management skills

· Strong communication skills

· Self motivated

· Manage established deadlines effectively

· Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills

· Technical skills required.
