Overview
Senior SAP MM / IS-Retail Functional Consultant to support ongoing SAP initiatives within a retail environment. The ideal candidate will be a self-driven problem solver with strong experience across SAP Materials Management, Retail processes, inventory planning, procurement, and master data management.
Candidates with hands-on experience in allocation and planning solutions are highly preferred. Experience with SAP Forecasting & Replenishment (F&R) is ideal, however experience with similar planning and allocation platforms will also be considered.
IS-Retail experience is strongly preferred. Candidates without direct IS-Retail experience may still be considered if they demonstrate strong hands-on SAP MM and SD experience and understand how the modules work together within a retail or supply chain environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support and enhance SAP MM and IS-Retail business processes.
- Analyze and resolve functional issues related to procurement, inventory, planning, and retail operations.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and recommend SAP solutions.
- Support system enhancements, testing, deployments, and post-go-live activities.
- Maintain and improve master data, purchasing, pricing, and inventory-related processes.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams supporting MM, SD, and Retail operations.
- Provide functional expertise and guidance on planning, allocation, replenishment, and inventory management processes.
Required Experience
- 5-7+ years of SAP Functional Consulting experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with SAP MM (Materials Management).
- Experience supporting SAP IS-Retail environments.
- Strong knowledge of:
- Purchasing and Purchase Orders (PO)
- Master Data Management
- Pricing
- Inventory Management
- Retail Operations
- Allocation and Planning Processes
- Output Determination
- Experience supporting end-to-end business processes and troubleshooting complex functional issues.
- Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Preferred Experience
- SAP Forecasting & Replenishment (F&R).
- Experience with allocation, replenishment, merchandising, or retail planning platforms.
- SAP SD experience and understanding of MM/SD integration.
- SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA experience.
- Retail industry experience.
