Overview
The Kitchen Lead / Kitchen Manager is a hands-on leadership role responsible for supporting the daily operations of the kitchen while working directly on the line alongside the team. This position combines food preparation and service responsibilities with leadership, organization, and team support.
The ideal candidate is someone who leads by example, thrives in a fast-paced environment, communicates well with others, and can effectively balance kitchen flow, prep responsibilities, and team coordination.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and present food and beverage items according to Drink Juice Co. recipes and standards.
- Work actively on the kitchen line during service periods while helping oversee daily kitchen operations.
- Ensure all in-store, Uber Eats, and online orders are fulfilled accurately and efficiently.
- Support kitchen organization, workflow, and timing during busy periods.
- Assist with prep planning, inventory organization, and ingredient quality checks.
- Communicate inventory needs, operational concerns, and kitchen updates to management.
- Help train, support, and guide kitchen staff while maintaining a positive team environment.
- Lead by example through strong work ethic, cleanliness, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and food-safe kitchen environment at all times.
- Demonstrate respect and care for kitchen equipment, tools, and workspace.
- Practice mindful ingredient use and support efforts to minimize waste.
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of experience in a kitchen or food service environment preferred.
- Previous kitchen leadership or supervisory experience is an asset.
- Strong time management and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication and people management skills.
- Comfortable leading a team while also actively working on the line.
- Strong understanding of kitchen hygiene, food safety, and organization.
- Reliable, proactive, and solution-oriented.
- Demonstrates care and intention in preparing simple, nourishing food while keeping guest experience front of mind.
