We are hiring Robot Technician in Woodbridge, ON.

ABOUT THE POSITION
The Robot Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and optimizing automated production equipment to support safe, efficient, and high-quality manufacturing operations.
The successful candidate will promote a high-performance safety culture, minimize equipment downtime, support production targets, and ensure that robotics, PLCs, welding systems, and related manufacturing equipment operate reliably and consistently.
This position requires a hands-on technical professional who can work independently, diagnose complex equipment issues, implement effective solutions, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
- Troubleshoot and repair automated production equipment, including robotics, weld controllers, PLCs, HMIs, and associated electrical and mechanical components.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs to minimize equipment downtime and maintain production reliability.
- Troubleshoot equipment issues in a timely manner and restore equipment to safe and productive operation.
- Modify and maintain robot and PLC programs, as well as machine HMI interfaces, as required.
- Ensure all programming modifications maintain or improve product quality, equipment performance, and production efficiency.
- Perform or assist with equipment, tooling, and component changeovers to support different production jobs.
- Apply structured problem-solving tools, including 1x1 problem solving, to identify root causes and resolve daily production issues.
- Support and implement continuous improvement initiatives, including 5S and other process-improvement activities.
- Work collaboratively with production, maintenance, quality, engineering, and management teams.
- Provide technical support and guidance to team members and contribute to a positive team environment.
- Maintain accurate work order and maintenance documentation as required.
- Follow established production, quality, environmental, and maintenance systems and procedures.
REQUIREMENTS / CERTIFICATIONS
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English.
- Post-secondary education in Electrical Engineering Technology, Automation, Robotics, Electromechanical Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or a related technical discipline is preferred.
- 5–7 years of experience in a similar maintenance, automation, robotics, or manufacturing role.
- Must have experience with the FANUC, and robotic MIG welding experience
- Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and provide technical leadership when required.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working with moderately complex technical procedures and equipment.
- Knowledge of low-voltage electrical troubleshooting, including systems below 30V.
- Experience with spot welding and MIG welding.
- PLC programming experience, with Allen-Bradley processors required; OMRON experience considered an asset.
- Experience with industrial robotics, preferably FANUC.
- Knowledge of production processes, quality systems, and manufacturing requirements.
COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
SCHEDULE:
- Monday to Friday: 2pm – 10pm (6am – 2pm as needed, must be flexible)
