Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Roofer/Laborer to join our construction team. This role involves working on residential and commercial roofing projects, assisting with various construction tasks, and ensuring high-quality workmanship. The ideal candidate will be physically capable, safety-conscious, and eager to learn new skills in the roofing and construction industry. Prior handyman or carpentry experience is a plus, along with familiarity with hand tools and blueprint reading.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, repair, and maintenance of roofing systems on various structures
- Use hand tools such as hammers, drills, and saws to perform roofing tasks efficiently
- Perform heavy lifting of materials and equipment necessary for roofing projects
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure accurate project execution
- Apply caulking and sealants to ensure waterproofing and weatherproofing standards are met
- Support carpentry tasks related to framing, trimming, or other structural components
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols at all times
- Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and meet quality standards
Requirements
- Experience with hand tools, construction, carpentry, caulking, and general handyman work preferred
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and efficiently
- Basic understanding of blueprint reading is advantageous
- Strong work ethic with a focus on safety and quality workmanship
- Physical stamina to work outdoors in various weather conditions
- Prior experience in roofing or construction is a plus but not mandatory; willingness to learn is essential
- Reliable transportation to job sites; ability to work in different locations as needed
Pay: From $36.60 per hour
