Programs and Services Secretary
Term Position effective August 18, 2021-December 31, 2021 with the possibilty of extension
Wages commensurate with Job Band 4 ($19.42 hour)

Reporting to the Executive Assistant to the Director of Programs and Services, this position will be responsible for providing secretarial/ administrative support to the Programs & Services Department. This position also provides administrative support to Department and Consultants/Mentors in a variety of curriculum areas.
Qualifications and Experience:
Office Administration training at a post-secondary level, such as Community College, is required.
Previous experience working in office environment is preferred.
Must be able to work independently and accurately while on a flexible schedule.
Proven secretarial skills with strong communication, collaborative, and organizational abilities.
Knowledge of current office procedures and equipment, bookkeeping and financial software.
Advanced facility with computer software including word processing, spreadsheets, data bases, Internet, including e-mail.
Ability to solve problems independently or as part of a team.
Ability to exercise good judgement, take initiative and accept responsibility.
Ability to manage time effectively.
Experience assisting with functions, such as, in-service support/planning.
Ability to work in an environment with frequent interruptions.
Collaborate with Programs Consultants/Mentors when requested and provide input to various projects.
Prepare correspondence, brochures with desktop publishing, copy and distribute.
Book meeting rooms, amenities and obtain necessary materials.
Receive, sort, prioritize, process, distribute and send incoming/outgoing mail, e-mail and faxes.
Distribution of materials as requested by staff and schools.
