What you can expect when joining the team
In this central role, you will be responsible for the design, documentation, and adoption of our internal platform, designed to give development teams the autonomy needed to accelerate and simplify the delivery of business value.
Your mission will include optimizing the use of the platform, with a particular focus on creating a seamless user experience. By using the platform daily, you will have the opportunity to deepen your understanding of user needs, showcase its features, and gather feedback to promote continuous improvement.
Your daily life
In your day to day, you will be led to:
Propose scalable, high-performance, efficient, resilient, and secure solutions in alignment with the company’s strategic directions;
Create and maintain clear and accessible documentation to facilitate rapid adoption by teams, while collecting and analyzing user feedback to ensure continuous updates that align with real needs;
Encourage the adoption of the platform within the organization through workshops, training sessions, and practical presentations;
Use the platform daily to identify areas for improvement and optimize the user experience;
Design and propose new platform architectures or tools to the community, ensuring they effectively meet the needs of development teams and provide concrete solutions;
Collaborate with other platform teams and DevOps Leads to facilitate and accelerate the delivery of value to development teams;
Improve the platform by adding or modifying infrastructure components using code, particularly with Terraform;
Design and develop tools and applications to simplify the administration and use of the platform for users using programming languages such as Python, JavaScript, and Go;
Provide support for the platform during on-call periods, ensuring continuous availability and reliability;
Regularly audit systems and application logs to identify suspicious activities and recommend solutions to mitigate risks;
Optimize infrastructure costs and ensure their efficient use by applications.
Your profile
Are you a platform engineering expert, recognized for your ability to design innovative solutions and optimize the user experience. Are you looking for an opportunity to play a key role in the evolution of the tools that support development teams? The sky is the limit! If you have:
A minimum of 8 years of experience in deployment, administration, and troubleshooting of production systems;
A degree in computer science (DEC/BAC) or equivalent, preferably in a technical discipline such as computer science or software engineering;
An approach centered on engineering excellence while optimizing the developer experience.
4 years of experience working with cloud infrastructures, particularly with providers such as AWS, Azure, or GCP;
At least 5 years of expertise in container orchestration and execution environments, such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Rancher;
The ability to design and manage deployment pipelines using commonly used CI/CD tools;
A solid understanding and application of infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation);
Skills in creating APIs and SDKs, as well as developing robust infrastructures;
Familiarity with real-time telemetry and tracing tools, such as Prometheus and Grafana;
A strong team spirit, user service orientation, and the ability to collaborate at all levels of the organization and in various contexts;
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present technical ideas clearly and concisely;
Since you will sometimes be interacting with English-speaking colleagues located outside of Québec, proficiency in both English and French (spoken, written, and read) is preferable.
