Yangaroo is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to lead our finance team and play a pivotal role in guiding the financial strategy of our organization.
As the CFO, you will be a key executive team member, directly involved in driving the financial success of our business in the music and television media distribution sector and major award shows. You'll collaborate closely with the board of directors, the executives, the finance team and senior management to achieve our strategic goals and enhance our position in the industry.

Responsibilities
The CFO candidate must have experience working in a public company on the TSX Venture Exchange (TSXV) or similar, with a clear understanding of the unique regulatory, reporting, and governance obligations involved. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead and direct the finance team, establishing and overseeing the financial strategy and policy while ensuring operational excellence.
- Drive the financial planning of the company, encompassing budgeting, forecasting, and providing expert guidance on all financial matters.
- Oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations, including accounting, payroll, receivables, payables, and collections, ensuring efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure the timely preparation and presentation of comprehensive financial statements that comply with TSXV and other regulatory requirements.
- Advise the CEO and board members on financial planning, budgeting, cash flow, investment priorities, and policy, offering insight for decision-making.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with external stakeholders, including financial institutions, investors, and auditors, while ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Develop and implement effective financial systems and processes, leveraging technology to maximize performance.
- Provide strategic oversight of Human Resources responsibilities, supporting managers in areas such as payroll, onboarding, and offboarding.
- Play a critical role in corporate governance, ensuring compliance with TSXV listing rules, disclosure requirements, and internal policies.
- Promote a culture of high performance and continuous improvement, fostering a proactive and results-driven finance team and organization.
Required Skills
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related fields, with strong academic and analytical grounding.
- Professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, CGA) with proven expertise in public company financial reporting and regulatory requirements specific to the TSXV, or similar stock exchange.
- 5+ years of experience in senior financial management, with experience in public companies and a track record of successful financial leadership in a highly regulated environment.
- Demonstrated experience in financial planning, analysis, and strategic financial leadership, with expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management.
- In-depth knowledge of corporate financial law, TSXV-specific or similar, compliance, and risk management practices, including knowledge of continuous disclosure obligations and investor relations.
- Exceptional leadership and team development skills, with a history of managing high-performing finance teams in dynamic, growth-oriented organizations.
- Proficiency in financial management software, advanced MS Office skills, and experience with public financial reporting tools and systems (e.g., SEDAR or similar platforms).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capability to advise and influence senior stakeholders, drive organizational change, and maintain collaborative external relationships.
- Agility and adaptability to a fast-paced, technology-driven work environment, with a strong commitment to innovation, process improvement, and maintaining high-performance standards.

Pay: $150,000.00-$200,000.00 per year
