United Floral Distributors is a floral wholesaler serving customers across Ontario and the northeastern United States. We are seeking a strategic and creative Lead Marketing Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of customer engagement, growth, and product promotion in a fast-paced, seasonal industry. This role is ideal for someone who understands both marketing fundamentals and the unique rhythm of the floral business, including holiday cycles, product launches, and visual merchandising trends.
Responsibilities
- Create new marketing campaigns, materials and promotions
- Plan and execute marketing campaigns aligned with seasonal floral programs (Valentine’s Day, Mother’s Day, Christmas, floral ads, etc.)
- Develop, implement, and manage digital content including email campaigns, website updates, online availability and website development, and social media posts
- Coordinate product promotions, pricing features, and weekly availability highlights
- Collaborate with sales and purchasing teams to promote key inventory and new arrivals
- Maintain brand consistency across all customer-facing materials
- Assist with in-house photography, product styling, and visual content creation
- Track campaign performance and recommend improvements based on analytics
- Support trade shows, customer events, and in-warehouse marketing displays
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Lead Marketing Coordinator or in a similar role.
- Minimum 2 years of marketing and content creation experience including e-commerce and website experience
- Degree in Marketing, Business Administration, Commerce or related field preferred
- Business experience and knowledge of implementing company objectives through marketing initiatives
- Experience guiding other staff with marketing initiatives and projects
- Strong creative writing skills and knowledge of graphic skills (Adobe Suite)
- Excellent written and visual communication skills and a willingness to present ideas and make edits as needed
- Strong attention to detail and time management skills
- Ability to manage your own time, being autonomous, as well as being able to work well with a team
- Have basic photography skills and an eye for composition
- Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple projects/deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment with short deadlines at times.
- Strong understanding of social media platforms, email marketing tools, and basic analytics
- Knowledge or interest in the floral industry is strongly preferred
- Experience with Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Suite, website and blogging design or similar design tools is an asset.
- Transportation: this marketing role is done in office, not remotely
Job Type: Full-time, Monday to Friday. Ability to work additional days during busier seasons if workload calls for it.
Compensation: Compensation will be based on experience and skill set.
Pay: $30.00-$40.00 per hour
