SUMMARY:
This is not a sit-in-an-office sales job - This is a boots-on-the-ground residential sales role for the summer sealcoating season.
- You work assigned residential routes in Prince George, knocking on doors in neighborhoods we are already sealing that week.
- You sell one simple, high-value product: a freshly sealcoated driveway at a flat, published price. No complicated quoting.
- Your pitch is built around the fact that our sealcoat crew works streets at the same time to save clients on costs.
- You assess the driveway, provide a price to the homeowner, collect information and get a signed agreement - all from a company provided tablet.
- See a driveway that also needs repair, patching, or leveling? Talk to the customer and then flag it for our estimator. You still earn on jobs that turn into bigger work.
- Your goal every single day is volume of booked driveways. The more you sell, the more you earn.
- You will be given company apparel, and it is yours to keep.
- Important: It is outdoor work, on your feet.
WHY THIS POSITION ROCKS:
- There is no earning cap in this position - sell lots, make lots. A great seller at the door can make $2,500+ weekly. A first-timer can expect to make $750-$1,250 weekly - and can improve quickly if they are committed to improving.
- Commission is paid weekly - no long waits.
- Flexible schedule available - 30-40 hours spent weekly in the role.
- You will be given training beforehand - pricing sheets, easy scripts to use, routes planned for you, and the tools to book jobs at the door.
- A company-provided tablet is given to you to sign customers at the door.
- Company vehicle available for use.
WHAT YOU NEED:
- A drive to succeed in a position that compensates a hunter for new business.
- Work during the day and/or evenings and weekends
- Comfortable working outdoors and on your feet all day.
- Class 5 driver's license with a history provided.
- Self-motivated and can work independently.
- Confident and persuasive with people.
- Available for July and August.
- Confident using technology.
- Resilient to handle rejection.
- Must complete a short Predictive Index™ assessment (provided upon application)
OPTIONAL:
- Existing sales experience
COMPENSATION STRUCTURE:
- Straight commission and/or mix of hourly wage + commission - negotiated with chosen candidates
- Straight commission employees are paid weekly; mixed-compensation employees are paid bi-weekly
- Reimbursement for use of your mobile phone
