The Opportunity
We're seeking a talented Intermediate Designer with at least six years of experience in Retail & Hospitality design practice. As an Intermediate Designer, you'll play an active role in bringing strategy to life – from early ideation to concept design and technical drawings. We value original thinkers who excel in generating fresh ideas, have a passion for creation, and are adept at executing high-level design concepts. Candidates should demonstrate a strong grasp of building construction and a proven track record of successfully delivering projects.
Successful candidates understand the collaborative nature of design and thrive in a studio environment where they can contribute at every stage from boutique to flagship retail & hospitality projects - from initial concept to detailed design and implementation. They should be eager to mentor, motivate, and contribute to our studio culture.
At SDI Design, Intermediate Designers are pivotal in executing projects under the supervision of Senior Designers. They collaborate with their colleagues to design, execute, and deliver exceptional projects while building strong client relationships. Intermediate Designers are expected to consult with Senior Designers and Principals on any design, technical, production, scope, or client issues that arise. They must also manage their time effectively to meet the firm’s targets for time expenditure and billing for themselves and their project teams.
