Job Summary
In this role, you'll work closely with our field team to support the construction and finishing of high-end commercial projects throughout Calgary and the surrounding area. Our work spans a variety of exciting, high-profile worksites, with tasks ranging from interior finishing to exterior work — so no two days look exactly the same. You'll help maintain clean, safe, and efficient job sites while ensuring our work meets the exceptional standards SNA is known for.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with general site duties — shoveling, sweeping, cleaning, moving materials and lumber, and providing safe access to worksites.
- Support the SNA field team with responsibilities as required.
- For skilled candidates: assist with framing, finishing, millwork installation, and general carpentry.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, reporting any issues or hazards to the site superintendent or foreman.
- Operate basic hand and power tools safely.
- Transport materials and equipment to various job sites as required.
- Help maintain tools and equipment in good working condition.
- Maintain a clean and organized worksite.
- Assist with other general site responsibilities as delegated by the construction team.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is required or preffered.
- Carpentry experience (framing and/or finishing) strongly preferred for skilled roles.
- Strong work ethic and the ability to work well within a team.
- Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and work both indoors and outdoors.
- Basic knowledge of construction methods, materials, and tools.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Construction safety tickets (WHMIS, fall protection, etc.) considered an asset.
