Job Summary
The Food Product Packaging Assistant is responsible for reviewing, creating, and maintaining accurate packaging records. This person will assist Marketing with creating and ensuring label dye-lines, shipper cases and product packaging is accurate. Proofreading and handling of artwork of Shipper Cases and label dye-lines. As well as supporting design process of packaging with marketing department and suppliers.
Key Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
Food Product Packaging Assistant
· Label Dye-lines: Analyze, creating and proofing of new label dye-lines. Ensuring accuracy in dimensions.
· Coordination and Workflow:
o Manage the label & shipper case label dye-line lifecycle, including creation, revision, and release to marketing and production team.
o Working closely with marketing and product development teams to ensure designs meet company standards.
o Working with Procurement to ensure approved label hand off. As well as acquiring inventory information on labels etc. Ensuring the latest labels are being implemented accordingly to timelines.
- Customer Templates: Manage customer-specific label templates.
- Packaging Specs: Manage and create packaging spec sheets
Data Management
- Data Entry: Manage product data and verify that labeling is properly done.
- Administrative: cross trained in customer platforms for packaging and customer packaging surveys.
- Vendor Communication: Liaise with suppliers to obtain required packaging information and certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Experience: 2+ years experience in packaging.
- Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word)
- Language: Must speak and communicate well in English.
- Skills: High level of accuracy to avoid mis-measuring, which can have significant legal repercussions. Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills to liaise between technical and non-technical teams.
- Organization: Ability to manage multiple projects, such as reviewing packaging for several product lines simultaneously.
