Your Day to Day:
Nursing Care & Clinical Support:
· Deliver nursing care aligned with individualized care plans and professional standards
· Administer medications and treatments while monitoring resident responses
· Observe, assess, and document any changes in resident condition
Resident Support & Daily Living:
· Support residents with activities of daily living while promoting independence
· Provide emotional support to residents and families
· Contribute to a calm, home-like atmosphere
Collaboration & Communication:
· Work closely with Health and Wellness Assistants (HWAs), PHAs, and leadership
· Participate in care planning and continuous improvement of resident care
· Maintain accurate and timely documentation
Compliance & Professional Practice:
· Follow all policies, procedures, and Ontario healthcare regulations
· Maintain infection prevention and control standards
· Uphold a safe, respectful, and supportive environment
What You Bring to the Table:
We’re looking for nurses who are not only clinically strong—but open-minded, adaptable, and ready to challenge traditional care models.
Education & Certification:
· Diploma in Practical Nursing
· Current registration in good standing with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO)
· CPR Level C / HCP certification
· Up-to-date immunizations as per Ontario requirements
· Vulnerable Sector Screening (or willingness to obtain)
Experience:
· Previous experience in retirement homes, long-term care, or community settings is an asset
Skills & Mindset:
· Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
· Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic environment
· Willingness to work outside traditional institutional models
Pay: From $30.00 per hour
