Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled AZ/DZ Driver and Equipment Operator to join our team. This role involves safely operating commercial vehicles and heavy equipment to transport freight and materials efficiently across various locations. The ideal candidate will have experience in freight delivery, heavy equipment operation, and possess a strong focus on safety and reliability. Responsibilities
- Safely operate AZ or DZ licensed trucks for freight transportation, ensuring timely deliveries and pickups.
- Operate heavy equipment such as excavators, backhoes, skid steers etc. ensuring proper handling and safety protocols are followed.
- Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment when necessary.
- Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance on vehicles and equipment, including automotive repairs if needed.
- Ensure all cargo is secured properly to prevent damage during transit.
- Adhere to all safety regulations, traffic laws, and company policies during operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation related to deliveries, vehicle logs, and equipment usage.
Skills
- Valid AZ or DZ license with a clean driving record.
- Experience operating heavy equipment in a commercial setting. Excavation experience required.
- Strong knowledge of freight handling, loading/unloading procedures, and safety standards.
- Basic automotive repair skills are a plus for troubleshooting minor vehicle issues.
- Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety, punctuality, and reliability.
- Ability to operate various types of heavy machinery safely and efficiently.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow detailed instructions.
- Physical ability to lift heavy loads and perform manual tasks related to freight handling. This role is essential for maintaining smooth logistics operations while prioritizing safety and efficiency across all tasks performed.
Pay: From $26.00 per hour
