Job Opportunity: Night AZ Tanker Driver - Dedicated Kingston Swap (Home Daily)
We are seeking two safety-conscious, experienced Class 1 / AZ Tanker Drivers for a highly predictable, dedicated evening run. Starting every weeknight at 6:00 PM, one driver will dispatch from Lachine, QC, and one will dispatch from Mississauga, ON. You will meet in Kingston, ON to perform a seamless tanker swap, and return directly back to your home terminal. This is a dedicated drop-and-hook operation with zero customer dock delays, ensuring you are home daily.
The Role at a Glance
- Home Terminal: Mississauga, ON
- Primary Route: Dedicated daily turn from Mississauga to Kingston, ON
- Schedule: Monday to Friday - Evening/Night Shift (Steady 6:00 PM Start Time)
- Scope: 100% Domestic (Canada only)
- Pay: $300.00 per day ($1,500.00 per week for a completed 5-day schedule)
Key Responsibilities
- Safely operate an AZ tractor-trailer liquid bulk configuration on the Mississauga–Kingston corridor.
- Manage the loading and unloading of hazardous materials with strict adherence to safety protocols.
- Conduct thorough pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections to ensure equipment integrity.
- Ensure full compliance with Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG) and MTO/MTQ regulations.
- Maintain accurate electronic logging device (ELD) records and shipping documentation.
Qualifications & Requirements
We require a high level of expertise for this specialized lane:
- Licensing: Valid Class 1 (AZ equivalent) Driver’s License.
- Experience: Minimum of 4+ years of verifiable heavy truck driving experience.
- Endorsements: Mandatory Tanker experience/endorsement and current Hazmat (Dangerous Goods) certification.
- Abstracts: Clean driving record and CVOR/Attestation de dossier de conduite.
- Language: Functional communication skills to navigate routes between Quebec and Ontario.
- Expertise: Proven ability to manage liquid surge and operate high-center-of-gravity loads safely.
