Job Duties / Responsibilities:
We are looking for an experienced producer who thrives in a live breaking news environment. This new team member must have a keen interest in news and current affairs, is connected to Toronto, is passionate about live television and has strong written and verbal communication skills. The candidate must be a team player who can work with writers, assignment editors, reporters, anchors, control room and field crews on news gathering and show production. Critical Qualifications / Competencies:
Minimum 5 years producing and control room experience
Experience with live events and breaking news.
Produce accurate, current, informative and varied lineups and take the show to air from the control room.
Work with various teams to ensure CP24 is on top of breaking news and live events.
Writing, chasing and producing stories and guests.
Excellent writing, communication, computer and organizational skills.
Outstanding interpersonal skills, ability to lead a team, motivate staff and personally set the highest professional broadcast standards.
Bilingualism is an asset (English and French); adequate knowledge of French is required for positions in Quebec.
